Garden hotline says verticillium wilt...whole thing has to come out and surrounding soil is contaminated. Being that it was a week before my wedding, I just cut the dead stuff off, which was like a hard pruning. The rest of e tree is thriving. There are indicators of continued wilt, but not everywhere in the tree.
